The European Open Source Academy (EOSA) has launched its Partner Community to strengthen the open source software and hardware ecosystem across Europe. Adfinis has stepped up as the first founding Subscriber to back this EU-funded mission.
The open source ecosystem in Europe takes another step forward with the official launch of the EOSA Partner Community. Backed by funding from the European Union, the EOSA recognizes outstanding achievements in open technology, drives policy engagement, and fosters long-term community development. With its new Partner Community, the EOSA is uniting commercial, academic, and public interest organizations around four strategic pillars: Excellence, Business Impact, Advocacy, and Education.
Adfinis is incredibly proud to join the Partner Community as its very first founding Subscriber. Adfinis will collaborate directly with the EOSA on joint initiatives designed to strengthen and scale open source infrastructure. Nicolas Christener, Adfinis CEO, highlighted the criticality of this initiative: "Open source isn't just a model for software development; it has become the fundamental backbone for our digital society. As organizations across Europe increasingly prioritize flexibility, control, and digital sovereignty, fostering the skills and community frameworks behind these technologies is more critical than ever. The Academy provides an essential framework to bridge commercial IT excellence with public recognition, and Adfinis is proud to support this mission as its founding Subscriber.”
