Join Adfinis and ZenDiS in Berlin to explore how open source turns digital sovereignty into practice for the public sector.
From October 13–15, 2026, Adfinis will join the Smart Country Convention (SCCON) in Berlin as a partner of the Center for Digital Sovereignty of the Public Administration (ZenDiS).
Under the motto #WirMachenSouverän, ZenDiS and its partners will demonstrate how digital sovereignty can be put into practice across the public sector. As open source experts, we will contribute our perspective on building open, secure, and resilient digital infrastructure while maintaining control over critical systems and data.
Secrets are a critical part of modern IT infrastructure. But how can public sector organizations manage them securely without becoming dependent on a single vendor?
Our Country Manager for Germany, Felix Kronlage-Dammers, will explore this question in his session “Sustainable Secrets Management With OpenBao.”
OpenBao provides an open, vendor-neutral approach to secrets management. Felix will demonstrate how public sector organizations can use OpenBao to retain control over critical secrets and establish transparent, auditable, and sustainable secrets management without vendor lock-in.
