Adfinis Strengthens Executive Team With New COO and CFO

Long-standing open source solution provider Adfinis has announced key changes to its Executive Management team. The appointment of two new C-level executives is part of a strategic evolution of the Adfinis leadership structure as the company continues on its growth trajectory.

After a 20-year tenure at Adfinis, current Chief Operating Officer (COO) Thomas Köchli has decided to step down from the Executive Management team and Board of Directors. Thomas will leave Adfinis on January 31, 2026, to pursue other opportunities outside of the company. Fabrizio Maggiore, who currently acts as the company’s Head of Operations, will take over as COO from November 1, 2025, ensuring a seamless handover of responsibilities.

The Adfinis Board of Directors has also appointed Patrik Graf as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective November 1, 2025. As current Head of Finance, Patrik’s appointment to the Executive Management team supports Adfinis’s strategy for coordinated, sustained international growth and reinforces its commitment to internal talent development. The Adfinis Board of Directors emphasizes a leadership approach that ensures the company’s core identity, values, and vision are embodied by its people.

“Thomas has been a driving force behind Adfinis for two decades. His leadership, determination, and integrity have shaped not only our success but also the culture that defines who we are,” said Michael Moser, Founder, Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, and Chairman of the Board. “As we continue to grow internationally, his departure marks both an ending and a new beginning. I’m incredibly proud that we can fill these key roles from within our own ranks, with people who bring deep technical expertise and live the values of our company culture. That’s what makes Adfinis special, and that’s what will carry us forward.”

Thomas joined SyGroup GmbH in November 2005, where he became Managing Director in August 2007. SyGroup GmbH and Adfinis GmbH eventually merged in 2012 to form the present-day Adfinis AG, with Thomas becoming its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He took over the role of COO in 2017 and became Adfinis’s first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in 2021, laying the foundation for the company’s security posture. He also implemented critical management systems like ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, led Adfinis through several reorganizations, and has played a pivotal role in the company’s international expansion.

Thomas expressed his gratitude for being part of Adfinis’s journey for the past 20 years:

“I am deeply grateful for the great trust placed in me as a leader over all these years, and am incredibly proud to see what we have built together over the last two decades. I wish Adfinis continued success and now look forward to pursuing new professional paths.”

Fabrizio joined Adfinis in 2021, bringing extensive expertise developed over many years in the telecommunications industry and international companies. Utilizing his expertise, Fabrizio has strengthened Adfinis’s understanding of large-scale infrastructure and its approach to managed services and service management. He took over as Head of Operations (HOO) in 2021, leading day-to-day operations and working hand-in-hand with the company’s value stream members – from people leads to engineers – to ensure excellence in both “Build” and “Run” activities.

“I am very excited to build upon Thomas's excellent foundation and fully support Adfinis as we scale our international growth. I look forward to advancing our deep commitment to open source and digital sovereignty in every market we serve.”

Patrik joined Adfinis in 2022 as Head of Finance, taking on responsibility for the company's finance and back office management. As part of this role, he shaped the development of the company’s financial steering and support processes. Patrik has a background in business administration and has held various finance roles in accounting and controlling within the IT and utilities sectors. He brings both financial expertise and proven team leadership skills to his new role as CFO.

“I am truly grateful for the trust placed in me and would like to thank Thomas for the excellent collaboration over the past years. I look forward to this next exciting chapter with the Adfinis team, ensuring the financial sustainability necessary to drive our open source mission forward.”
